Intro to Climbing Nights are back! If you are new to climbing or looking to refresh your skills, this is the event for you! This event is open to all ages and abilities. All participants under 18 year of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Event Details
Intro to Climbing Night is a donation-based class offering new climbers and climbers looking to refresh their skills an opportunity to learn the ropes, tour the gym, meet new people, and achieve new heights! Participants will learn the basics of climbing taught by seasoned climbers from UpaDowna and CityROCK!
This donation-based package includes your climbing gear rental, expert instruction from CityRock and UpaDowna staff, and discount coupons to The Ute & Yeti! Interested in starting a membership after the event? UpaDowna participants can have their CityROCK membership initiation fee at CityRock waived if you sign-up within one month of taking our class!
This event is open to all ages and abilities. All participants under 18 year of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Goals:
To help individuals, couples, or families experience a new adventure sport in a safe and fun environment.
To help individuals overcome a fear of heights by providing helpful and friendly encouragement.
To overcome as many barriers as possible (cost, equipment, location, knowledge) in order for all ages and abilities to try climbing.
Cost: A $15 donation per person is suggested, but feel free to donate what you can afford!
Preparing for Intro to Climbing Night:
Participants must complete a CityROCK climbing waiver for every person in your group prior to arriving. Waivers can be signed in advance here: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/59372f972e195/web/.
Climb Night starts promptly at 6pm. It is HIGHLY recommended that you arrive 15 minutes early to check in. If you arrive later than 6pm, you may not be able to join the class. If you have already attended an Intro to Climb Night, please do not sign up again for the same class.

Why do I need to donate?
To help sustain this program, donations are needed to assure it can continue and that participants will attend.
Am I allowed to bring a friend?
Yes, but they need to sign up for an online ticket as well.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No
Can I bring my family to the event?
Yes but keep in mind, adult supervision of your children is required at all times and everyone needs to be signed up first. Also, a waiver needs to be filled out for each participant and we'd like to keep group numbers to around 4 Have 4 or more people? Contact us for a private event!
Is this a fun event?
